Arena Solutions Launches Free Webinar Series for Professionals Engaged with the Manufacturing Product Development Process

Arena Solutions announced it has launched the Arena Webinar Series, an ongoing schedule of free online seminars designed for professionals engaged in the manufacturing product development process. Webinars will be offered regularly and a frequently updated schedule can be found in the News & Events section of the Arena website.

Arena is the only company that gives users the power of PLM with the advantage of on-demand. Leveraging its domain expertise and pioneering role in on-demand PLM, Arena will offer three tracks of webinars targeted to different types of PLM interest:

PLM in Perspective, which consists of topics that provide an overview of how PLM can address challenges across the product lifecycle.

PLM in Depth, which includes discussions of how PLM supports key processes like BOM (bill of materials) and ECO (engineering change order) management, compliance, validation, project collaboration, and outsourcing, among others.

PLM in Practice, which highlights best practices with Arena customers presenting details about successful implementations, measureable improvements and tangible, real-world results.

Currently there are two webinars in April open for registration. Those interested in participating should RSVP online (required) in advance.

The first PLM in Practice seminar, entitled Leveraging On-Demand PLM for Rapid Growth: Insights from Ruckus Wireless, will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 10 a.m. Pacific. Ruckus Wireless (http://www.ruckuswireless.com), a next generation Wi-Fi company, implemented on-demand Arena PLM to establish an infrastructure that would support its efforts to innovate quickly, speed products to market, manage costs, maximize efficiency and meet quality and regulatory compliance requirements. Ruckus, which in less than four years has shipped more than 150,000 Wi-Fi systems to customers around the world, has used Arena PLM to help it accommodate the crush of orders, requests and relationships that builds as the company becomes more successful. Document Control Manager David Hom will share insights about how Ruckus implemented Arena PLM in under one week and leveraged the software to support its rapid growth.

The second April seminar is scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 10 a.m. Pacific. It is from the PLM in Depth track and entitled Faster Product Change, Fewer Errors: 5 Benefits of PLM. Arena Solutions’ Senior Solution Consultant Nathan Martin will provide an inside look into how Arena PLM enables real-time visibility into up-to-date product data, provides pre-configured, automated change workflows, allows secure access for suppliers and partners, minimizes change-related errors, and speeds ECO cycle times.

“As a result of helping hundreds of companies and thousands of users transform their organizations with our PLM software and services, we’ve built an incredible amount of PLM domain expertise. We’re delighted to pass on this PLM-related knowledge—a key ingredient for effective organizations—to help drive positive change for small- to medium-sized businesses,” said Craig Livingston, chief executive officer of Arena Solutions. “We hope that professionals engaged with the manufacturing product development process—both Arena PLM users and others—will bookmark our events page and plan to attend as many webinars as they can.”

Arena records and archives all events to provide access to those who cannot attend in person. Currently there are several free, informative webinars available for immediate download:
