Webinar Series on Validation and Optimization Focuses on Design with Composite Materials
Noran Engineering, Inc. (NEi) announced it will broadcast the 2nd part in its webinar series that focuses on the use of finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation software at the CAD design stage. This installment entitled “Composite Analysis” is scheduled for 11:00 am Pacific Time, 2:00pm Eastern Time on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. This webinar will cover construction of finite element models with orthotropic materials, obtaining structural analysis solutions, and the use of various tools for displaying results, in particular, visual imagery that can pinpoint problem areas down to specific plies. NEiFusion, Noran Engineering’s Nastran based FEA software, will be used to illustrate key requirements of design stage simulation -- ease of use with familiar CAD environment tools, associativity of CAD and FEA data for trade off studies, design validation capabilities, and results sharing between designers and analysts.
