Webinar on Engineering Analysis, Simulation and Virtual Test Software in the Design of Heavy Machinery

Noran Engineering, Inc. (NEi) will host a webinar on “Using Engineering Analysis, Simulation, and Virtual Test Software for Heavy Machinery Design” on Tuesday June 17, 2008 at 10:30-11:30 am EDT. The webinar is intended for manufacturers of heavy equipment and machinery found in industries like earth moving and offshore oil platforms that are challenged by keeping design and manufacturing costs low while maintaining a competitive edge in the global market.  Major manufactures have been early adopters of finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation software in their engineering process because of the cost savings, improved quality, promotion of safety, and faster time to market.

Among the specific benefits realized when applying FEA into an engineering environment are:

  • Ability to explore more “What-If” scenarios
  • Create shorter development cycles
  • Design for strength and increased performance
  • Reduced the number of physical prototypes

The one-hour webinar will introduce the ease-of-use capabilities of creating digital prototypes with the FEMAP® pre/post processor and NEi Nastran robust solvers.  Specific topics that will be covered include:

  • Assemblies – Faster and easier analysis through Automated Contact Generation (ACG™)
  • Dynamics – Vibration, mode shapes and frequency response
  • Material Selection – Examine material options to achieve cost objectives

Interested parties may attend this webinar by registering at: www1.gotomeeting.com/register/498299079.  Additional information is available by phone at 714-899-1220 or through email at info@noraneng.com.

About Noran Engineering, Inc. (NEi)

NEi is a global leader in developing finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation software for virtual testing in aerospace, automotive, maritime, petroleum, medical, and consumer products. The core product NEi Nastran works with all major pre and post processors including Femap® by Siemens PLM and in house brands NEiFusion™ and NEiWorks™ for SolidWorks®. Engineers gain design insight early in the development process with graphic visualizations of parameters like stress, deformation, vibration modes, and heat transfer. Companies gain a competitive edge improving their product development process making it faster and less costly while delivering designs that are more innovative, reliable, and higher quality.
