Think3 Takes Center Stage in the Fifth ‘FORAN Users Meeting’
Think3 is taking part as a speaker in the fifth FORAN Users Meeting Forum 2008 (11-13 June, Oviedo-Spain), a global meeting of FORAN users. FORAN is the shipbuilding CAD/CAM/CAE System developed by the Spanish SENER Ingeniería Y Sistemas S.A. leveraging think3’s software components.
Madrid-based SENER adopted licenses based on the software components of ThinkDesign and thinkteam to improve its proprietary FORAN System. Think3’s technology allowed SENER to offer an even more competitive solution to streamline the product development cycle thanks to a full 2D, 3D and PDM integration. The Spanish company appreciated in particular ThinkDesign’s outstanding solid modeling and drafting capacities compared to competing products.
During the FORAN Users Meeting, Emidio Cennerilli, Head of Software Components Division for think3, will give a speech entitled ‘ThinkDesign Global Shape Modeling capabilities for shipbuilding’ (Friday, 13 June, 11.30 a.m.), to describe how GSM technology allows to change a shape in a quick and accurate way while preserving the original intent of the designer. GSM allows design engineers to quickly change a shape and obtain an immediate visual feedback to assess the impact of the change on the design, thus allowing to interact with the product rendering process and to work in an intuitive way.
