Selerant Releases DevEX 2.0 with Features and Functionality that Take a Completely New View on PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
Selerant (http://www.selerant.com) announces the release of DevEX 2.0.
“More than just a release of enhancements, this is an entirely new vision of PLM and how our clients will be implementing in the future,” states Carlo Colombo, Selerant’s CEO. He explains further, “We partnered with our current clients as well as listened to what progressive leaders in the industry had to say. We also took our expertise with what we know about formulation, regulatory, and our technology architecture and built a vision of expediting products to market not just from concept, but much earlier on.”
Colombo is referring to the implementation and adaptation stages. These stages can take time with some software packages. “DevEX 2.0 has taken several usability features and adapted them with architecture, configurations, reports, as well as dramatic robust formulation tools to create a significantly intuitive experience for the user,” says Colombo.
The usability enhancements can be in significantly attributed to DevEX being built on the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 platform, enabling DevEX to run rich web-based applications. In addition to the platform, the developers dramatically extended the service-oriented architecture for web services to allow even greater integration, connectivity, and communication between systems.
