INCAT to Host Executive Conference ‘Ushering in the Virtual Manufacturing Age’

INCAT is presenting a Digital Manufacturing Executive Conference titled “Ushering in the Virtual Manufacturing Age” at its North American Headquarters in Novi, Mich., on October 9. The conference, designed to benefit executives in manufacturing, production engineering, digital manufacturing, simulation engineering and industrial engineering from both OEMs and supplier organizations, will feature industry briefings by some of the world’s leading experts in digital manufacturing.

Leading off the line up of industry experts will be Ganesh Khedkar, Executive – Digital Manufacturing, INCAT, who will present “The Tata-DELMIA® Story: A Digital Manufacturing Success.” Khedkar played a key role in the planning and manufacturing of powertrain components for Tata Motors’ first indigenous automobile, the Indica. Khedkar has more than 25 years of engineering experience and more than 10 years on the shop floor. He will offer attendees insights, with a pragmatic perspective, on the latest in digital manufacturing techniques.

Other industry leaders presenting at the conference include:

Tim Ellingworth, CEO – Icona Solutions Ltd. Ellingworth will present “Gaining Competitive Advantage by Improving Perceived Quality and Sensitivity to Variation.” He will discuss how engineers and designers will gain the ability to simulate and visualize manufacturing variation with a unique solution for improving perceived quality during the digital product development process.

Don Jasurda, Vice President – QMC LLC will present “Validate As-Built Quality to As-Designed Product Specifications.” He will discuss the effective application of CM4D data management and reporting software that will allow global manufacturers to address quality issues early, before they become costly build problems.

Ganesh Khedkar will present a second session, to conclude the conference, “Offshoring Digital Manufacturing.” He will explain how the offshoring of digital manufacturing is a practical solution that can increase capacity and reduce costs for global manufacturers.
