AutoLiv Selects Actify's SpinFire Solution
Actify, Inc. announced that AutoLiv, a producer of car safety equipment, has chosen Actify's SpinFire Solution as part of their corporate strategy. With facilities and employees located globally, along with development and engineering centers around the world, AutoLiv faces pressure to remain competitive in this global market. AutoLiv recognizes the need to reduce costs through improve global communication and production.
"When deciding on a new design communication solution we had to think about the end-users, whom are potentially thousands of employees, contractors, customers, suppliers, and partners," said Tyler Paxton, PLM Analyst, AutoLiv North America and the evaluation committee leader for this project. "Being a diverse group with various skills, we needed something that was easy for non-technical users and also robust in areas for our engineers. We found SpinFire Professional to meet all our needs in terms of user features, vendor support, and cost."
Collaboration across the global extended enterprise (customers, suppliers, and partners) has become a standard business practice in the manufacturing industry. Recognizing this and staying true to their corporate Vision and Mission, AutoLiv's executives are strengthening AutoLiv's core business through a series of corporate strategies, one of them being the implementation of Actify's SpinFire Professional solution. With SpinFire Professional, AutoLiv will have business benefits of reduced costs and active collaboration throughout the extended enterprise.
