Siemens PLM Software Demonstrates Powerful Portfolio As Athens Summit Crosses The Finish

Siemens PLM Software announced that its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Partner Sales Summit, attended by 300+ people, saw a substantial number of medal winners as it drew to a close.

Guest speakers included Kriss Akabusi MBE, European and World Champion athlete, and Ryan Morris, senior director of Channel Intelligence at the Institute for Partner Education and Development. Also featured were the Mayor of Marathon, Spyros Zagaris, and General Secretary of the 2004 Olympic Games, Spyros Capralos, who spoke about their personal experiences of winning the 2004 Olympics bid for Greece and the power of teamwork in delivering a winning performance. Principal figures from the EMEA partner community and senior executives from Siemens PLM Software also attended the event.

Siemens PLM Software presented a total of 35 awards for exceptional performance in categories including Best Channel Partner, Best Channel Partner Salesperson, Top EMEA Channel Partner Customer Satisfaction and Best EMEA Channel Partner Marketing Campaign. Top winners included Bas Bolhaar of Bosch Engineering BV in the Netherlands for Best Channel Velocity Portfolio Sale of 2007, and Poland-based CAM Division as Best New EMEA Channel Partner.

The Summit was an important milestone in the recognition of the synergies between Siemens PLM Software and its partners, and demonstrated the power of the complete portfolio in collaborative selling, according to Angus Marshall, director, Sales and Channel Programs, EMEA, Siemens PLM Software.

“We called this Summit ‘Sell the Power’ as we wanted to demonstrate how collaborating with our partners allows us to bring a complete portfolio to a competitive market and succeed,” Marshall said. “Seeing such an array of worthy winners and exciting customer success stories underlines how important the partnership approach is, and will continue to be, in staying ahead of the pack in EMEA.”

Günter Rester, director manufacturing industries - PLM solutions at Microsoft, also praised the event for giving the Siemens PLM Software partner community a forum to meet, exchange ideas and build on its combined success.

“A collaborative approach is what PLM is all about, and the Siemens PLM Software EMEA Partner Summits have always been a forum where collaboration is the most important factor – something which Microsoft is pleased to share in,” he said. “The mix of product updates, motivational sessions and access to senior figures from the partner community has set everyone up to win – and continue to win throughout 2008.”
