Infor Rolls Out Suite of Applications for Process Manufacturers in Mexico

Infor announced the Spanish language version of Infor Process Essentials, a comprehensive suite of business software applications specifically tailored to the unique needs of process manufacturers. The integrated, end-to-end solution is comprised of enterprise resource planning (ERP), product lifecycle management (PLM), supply chain management (SCM), and enterprise asset management (EAM) software. These applications are built specifically for the needs of consumer packaged goods, food & beverage, generic goods, ingredient, pharmaceutical, private label, and specialty chemicals manufacturers.

By combining all of these solutions into a single offering, or through incremental implementation, Infor is enabling process manufacturers in Mexico to gain comprehensive visibility throughout their organization, from concept to consumer. Infor Process Essentials is ideal for multi-national companies seeking to extend best practices in areas such as local regulatory compliance and reporting to operations in other markets, due to its support of regional variances such as currency, language and time zones. The software is also ideal for process manufacturers who export goods worldwide, which requires compliance with many different regulatory statues and other variables, such as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemical Substances) and NAFTA (The North American Free Trade Agreement).

“Infor Process Essentials offers Mexican process manufacturers a competitive edge against overseas manufacturers by minimizing the costs and complexity of export requirements, improving efficiency and reducing the need to cut overall product quality to offset rising materials and energy costs,” said Paulo Ramos, vice president, Mexico, at Infor. “Infor Process Essentials is one of the most comprehensive and integrated software suites available, with the business-specific capabilities process manufacturers with operations in Mexico need to be more enterprising.”

Process manufacturers face mounting market pressures and increasingly complex compliance demands. The demand planning, advanced planning and scheduling capabilities of Infor Process Essentials allow companies to address consumer and retailer demands, seasonality issues, promotions, and extended supply chain risks. The suite also helps improve inventory control through better planning and risk management of all aspects of development, production, distribution and labeling.

The PLM capabilities of Infor Process Essentials help process manufacturers ensure regulatory compliance, minimize time to market and time to respond to sample requests, and improve product success rates or conversion rates, which can translate to increased revenue, enhanced margins and reduced costs.

Additionally, Infor Process Essentials enables manufacturers to meet the growing demand for reducing their impact on the environment. This is accomplished by helping to eliminate hazardous waste, improve recycling capabilities, reduce inventories, and decrease the carbon footprint of supply chains.

To remain competitive, process manufacturers in Mexico need to decrease the total cost of compliance and cost to serve, improve quality and increase collaboration. For example, the high profile nature of food labeling, product recalls and the demands of legislation mean that process manufacturers must maintain scrupulously detailed records for production, ingredients, formulations and packaging. Infor Process Essentials delivers this elevated level of visibility economically, without requiring the dedication of significant internal resources for administration and support.

Infor solutions are already widely used by process manufacturers in the Americas including Basic American Foods, Organic Valley, Rich Products, Cadbury Schweppes, Maple Leaf Foods, Shaklee, and Molson/Coors.
