Cadence Kicks Off Worldwide User Conferences with CDNLive! EMEA 2009

Cadence Design Systems, Inc. launches its annual series of technical conferences with CDNLive! EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) to be held in Munich, Germany, May 18–20. It is the first of six scheduled worldwide user conferences taking place this year; the others to be held in Japan, Taiwan, Israel, USA, and India. These events bring together thousands of Cadence® technology users, developers, and industry experts to examine challenges and synthesize solutions to help develop innovative electronic designs.

The EMEA conference will feature a keynote presentation by Cadence president and CEO Lip-Bu Tan. During the three-day conference, attendees will be able to attend a wide range of product demonstrations and techtorials, with the opportunity to review dozens of user-authored papers. The comprehensive technical agenda encompasses technology areas including low-power design, formal verification, constraint-driven design, system-in-package design, mixed-signal design, and electronic system-level design.

To supplement this year's technical conference, Cadence has organized and sponsored the first full-custom design competition. For this contest, more than 50 top layout designers from leading academic institutions throughout EMEA have submitted entries for the "Cadence Fastest Full-Custom Layout Designer of the Year Award". The winner will be announced during the conference.

In addition to the keynotes and user-presented technical papers, attendees can visit more than 15 companies exhibiting at the Designer Expo.
