Insulet Corporation Goes Live with Pilgrim Software’s “On Demand” Solution Platform
Pilgrim Software, Inc. announced that Insulet Corporation, a leader in tubing-free insulin pump technology, has gone live with Pilgrim’s On-Demand (SaaS) solution platform for its Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management needs.
Insulet, in tandem with Pilgrim, has automated its complaints management, lot qualification and quality data management with its outsourced manufacturer in China, to address customer feedback on its products, and then quickly and proactively convert that feedback into practical product enhancements to further improve its customers’ quality of life.
“In today’s growing diabetes treatment market, Insulet is looking to capture, manage and trend our customer feedback, and incorporate that information into continual product improvement and enhancements in accordance with our corporate commitment to improve the lives of people with diabetes,” said Ruthann DePietro, Vice President of Quality & Regulatory Affairs at Insulet Corporation.
Pilgrim’s SmartSolve® streamlines the entire issue resolution lifecycle and enables enterprise-wide standardized problem-handling processes. This allows companies to manage deviations and incidents in real-time so they can quickly identify and implement resolution strategies.
This key automated system will be hosted by Pilgrim on-demand. Compared to traditional software implementation models, Pilgrim On-Demand involves a lower initial investment cost, reduced overhead, a high degree of scalability, increased accessibility, improved collaborative productivity, easier implementation, and improved security with optimal performance. Advanced built-in security features, as well as Pilgrim’s SAS 70 Application Certification, protect customers’ intellectual property.
“We were seeking a system that would be flexible, provide out-of-the-box process management, require only basic configuration and maintenance, and be easy to use,” DePietro said. We need to have efficient and effective processes as Insulet grows and our reach expands globally. We expect that Pilgrim On-Demand will provide us the required flexibilities by taking away the traditional IT burdens, and help us speed time to implementation.
DePietro said Insulet looks forward to gaining further operational efficiencies by continuing to expand the use of the Pilgrim solutions by automating its Nonconformance, Deviation, CAPA, Document Control, SOP Enforcement, Training Records management, Internal Audits and External Audit-related processes.
