ZEMAX Relies on TransMagic for Precise CAD Data Repair
TransMagic Inc. announced that ZEMAX Development Corporation, developers of ZEMAX optical system design software, utilizes TransMagic as its 3D mechanical CAD data repair and translation solution.
Optical system design often includes importing 3D mechanical CAD files into ZEMAX for opto-mechanical stray-light analysis, LED illumination system design and other optical design tasks. Before importing design files into ZEMAX, the geometry must form ‘watertight’ solid models. Any gaps between surfaces can cause errors in optical analysis. TransMagic precisely repairs and optimally conditions CAD data from all major CAD applications for translation into ZEMAX.
