Tekla Congratulates Customers for Winning Fiatech CETI Awards

Tekla, Inc. announced that three of the 2009 FIATECH CETI Awards were presented to Tekla Structures users last night during FIATECH's Technology Conference & Showcase. The CETI Award is presented to companies, or individuals, whose technology implementations or research & development efforts clearly demonstrate tangible and significant results and benefits. The winners, project submission and award category are listed below:

FIATECH established the CETI Award - Celebration of Engineering & Technology Innovation - in 2006 to promote and showcase innovative construction-related technologies that benefit the capital projects industry. The CETI Award is given annually to organizations that have conducted new and emerging technology implementations as well as research & development.

NOTE: On Tuesday, April 6th Maryland General Hospital will be the focus of the webinar: “Linking BIM to the Field to Facilities Management - A Hospital Case Study with Barton Malow.” This live webinar will discuss how BIM and Field Software (including Tablet-PCs) were linked to Facilities Management on the Maryland General Hospital Central Care Expansion project. This multi-phase addition and renovation project included over 75,000sf of newly fit-out spaces and over 5,000sf of renovated facilities. Speakers from Barton Malow, Tekla, Motion Computing and Vela Systems will present an overview of the project, describe the connection of BIM to Commissioning to Handover to Facilities Management, present photos of the technology in action and report on the business benefits to the contractor and owner.
