Hankook Delcam Supports Dental CADCAM Training in Korea
Delcam’s reseller in Korea, Hankook Delcam, has demonstrated its commitment to the increased use of CADCAM in the country’s dental industry by donating software for the training of dental technicians to two of the leading universities in Seoul.
The first donation extends the existing cooperation between the Korea University, which is reputed to be the leading educational institute in Korea, and Hankook Delcam. The two organisations have worked together for many years on the training of engineers in Delcam’s manufacturing software, one of many relationships which have made Hankook Delcam the main supplier of CADCAM software to Korea’s educational system for over 20 years.
Chan-oong Jeong, President of Hankook Delcam commented, “We are keen to contribute to the training of students and to improve their professionalism and abilities in the design and manufacture of dental restorations with the latest digital techniques.”
The second donation is part of a Memorandum of Understanding between Korea University Health Science College and Hankook Delcam. Other aspects of the agreement include joint development of the course curriculum and textbooks, support of university-industry cooperation through internships for the students, regular communication on the latest technical developments, shared use of equipment, and joint research and development into new technology for the dental restoration industry.
By working with the Korea University Health Science College, Hankook Delcam continues to strengthen the competiveness of the Korean dental restoration industry. It will provide training in dental CADCAM technology to the students and support process innovation by graduates within the dental industry.
