Scandinavian Construction Industry Supplier Selects IFS to Increase Profitability
Contiga, one of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers of steel and concrete constructions for the construction industry has selected IFS in order to increase profitability by enhancing project management and streamlining information flows. The agreement covers licenses, consulting services and maintenance worth more than SKr 6 million and includes options for further implementations of IFS Applications.
Contiga is a leading producer of prefabricated structures in concrete and steel for office buildings, hotels, industrial premises, public buildings, and apartment blocks. The company has operations in a large number of locations in Sweden and Norway.
Contiga will implement IFS Applications components for manufacturing, engineering and distribution. This integrated, comprehensive solution will improve project management, among other things by providing complete transparency throughout the value chain, support for consistent long-term and short-term planning, and the ability to shorten manufacturing lead times. This will improve Contiga’s productivity and profitability.
"We chose IFS after a comprehensive evaluation in which the industry competence and experience of IFS were decisive. IFS was able to present an industry-specific solution for the construction and civil engineering sector that demonstrated that its consultants truly understand our processes and the challenges we face," said Erik Thillmann, production manager at Contiga.
"IFS’ strategy for continued growth means that we focus on selected industries in terms of product development and industry competence. The agreement with Contiga is just one example of the wisdom of this strategy, said Glenn Arnesen, managing director, IFS Scandinavia.
The construction, contracting and service management industry is one of IFS’ targeted vertical market segments. The company offers a complete and integrated business solution that manages the entire lifecycle of contracts, projects, machines and equipment. With IFS Applications, companies can support and improve business processes by collaborating more closely with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
