Zuken Launches Advanced Wire Harness Modeling and Simulation with Synopsys Saber
Zuken has introduced a new integration tool E³.Saber Frameway for Zuken’s cable design software E³.cable. This allows engineers to create right-first-time robust wire harness, hydraulic and pneumatic designs, helping them overcome growing harness complexity and time/quality constraints through early access to virtual prototyping results.
The solution provides direct integration for the multi-domain simulation of cable and wire harnesses, hydraulic and pneumatic with the Synopsys’ Saber® Simulator. In addition to the benefits for engineers creating wire harness designs, the E³.Saber Frameway will also save time for simulation engineers by reducing duplicative efforts through the reuse ofE³.series design data within the Saber environment by eliminating the need to re-enter data into the simulation environment.

By making an interconnection with E³.series, simulation engineers using the Saber solution can perform accurate system-wide electrical verification. This saves time by eliminating the need to redraw schematics within the Saber environment for simulation.
Time spent and the potential for errors is reduced as E³.Saber Frameway helps eliminate the need to send design updates manually from the simulation engineer back to the design engineer. For simulation purpose all engineers use E³.series library data as one common database. This eliminates errors and reduces administration effort.
Any changes the simulation engineer makes to the design are immediately part of the production design. Simulation results such as voltage and current values can be back-annotated into E³.series.
