Magma Announces Dates and Locations for Worldwide MUSIC User Conferences, Issues Call for Papers -- New Contest Lets Users Define Agenda

Magma Design Automation Inc. announced dates and locations for the 2010 Magma Users Summit on Integrated Circuits (MUSIC) user conferences. MUSIC Silicon Valley will be conducted at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose on March 10, MUSIC China will be March 23 at the Shanghai Hotel in Shanghai and MUSIC India will be March 30 at the Taj Residency in Bangalore.

A call for papers has been issued encouraging submissions from Magma users on a wide range of analog and digital design topics. In a new offering for the 2010 MUSIC events, Magma is soliciting additional topics from users. Users whose suggested topics are added to the agenda will win a Dell Inspiron Mini netbook.

"The increasing complexity of system-on-chip design brings out the best in engineering creativity," said Rajeev Madhavan, Magma chief executive officer. "We're continually amazed at the novel and innovative ways our customers use Magma's software to solve these tough problems. The MUSIC conferences provide users an opportunity to share and learn how to fully leverage the Magma software on their next-generation designs. And attendees can look forward to Magma's launch of several next-generation EDA solutions to conquer the growing gap between Moore's law and the cost of silicon design."

MUSIC: Forum for Ideas

An annual event held in key semiconductor hubs, MUSIC provides a forum for Magma users to exchange ideas, discuss common problems and to explore solutions related to the design and manufacturing of integrated circuits, as well as offers users an opportunity to meet with Magma R&D staff and product experts. The MUSIC program covers key elements of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor implementation from system-level design to tape-out for systems on chips, ASICs and ASSPs. Sessions headed by senior Magma staff provide users an opportunity to learn about the latest products, features and enhancements in the Magma software and to provide feedback for further development of Magma products.
