D-Cubed 2D DCM in Applications Which Use DWGdirect from the Open Design Alliance

The D-Cubed product development team is working on an integration wrapper between the D-Cubed 2D DCM and DWGdirect. This will help application developers that use DWGdirect to introduce 2D DCM constraint solving into their products more rapidly.

DWGdirect offers members of the Open Design Alliance (ODA) a development framework for CAD and technical graphics applications that need to support the DWG file format. The 2D DCM (Dimensional Constraint Manager) provides dimension driven, constraint based design, and is used in AutoCAD 2010 from Autodesk, along with many more of the world’s leading CAD systems, including Siemens PLM Software’s own NX and Solid Edge.

Siemens PLM Software is a longstanding Founding Member of the ODA, and the D-Cubed product development team is interested in working with potential early adopters of constraint functionality among the ODA membership to discuss their input into requirements for features and interface design. Interested parties can contact d-cubed.support.plm@siemens.com.
