PACE Automotive Design Lab to Open at McMaster University

Representatives from General Motors, Autodesk, HP, Siemens PLM Software, Oracle, Partners for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering Education (PACE), and McMaster University will officially open the university's PACE Lab for automotive engineering and design on Thursday, March 17, 2011.

  11:20 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Where: McMaster University, Engineering Technology Building (ETB), Room 234

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 11:20 a.m. in the Engineering Technology Building, room 234.

McMaster engineering students will demonstrate a collaborative project with the University of Cincinnati to develop a next-generation sustainable urban transport vehicle.

Media are also welcome to attend remarks by all partner members from 10:00–11:15 a.m. in room 125 of the Engineering Technology Building.

The PACE Lab provides students with access to state-of-the-art computer hardware and software used by the automotive industry for product development, planning, engineering, analysis, and data management. It better prepares students for careers in the international world of automotive engineering and design. (http://www.pacepartners.org)
