Lectra to Present Importance of Color in Fashion, Apparel Design at AATCC's 2011 International Conference

Lectra will exhibit at the AATCC's International Conference later this month. Lectra's Color Expert, Don Beck will also present on the topic of "Minimum Fuss, Maximum Organization: Optimizing Color Managed Print Processing in Design for High Volume Output" on Wednesday, March 23rd at 9:15 am.

The event, March 22nd through 24th, in Charleston South Carolina, features a traditional exhibition hall with industry leaders, as well as a 3 track educational session covering Concept to Consumer, Chemical Applications and Materials. Lectra's Color Expert and PhD, Don Beck will present in the "Concept to Consumer Track" and will discuss how the apparel industry can design and develop products in a faster, more productive way while reducing costs. He will also explore the advantages that can be obtained by using techniques and best practices applied to areas such as color management and color processes, as well as printing and communication workflows.

Lectra will also be present in the exhibition hall (booth 16), illustrating how to manage design and color processes with up-to-date fashion, textile and color specific solutions and tools. As well, Lectra will demonstrate how the integration of X-Rite and PANTONE® technologies into Lectra's professional textile and fashion design platform, Kaledo®, create a seamless process and allows for the use of a variety of color options in the creation of original concepts of prints, weaves and knits.

"Color is critical in design and it can be a major source of loss in regards to time and money for companies when trying to get the right color for a season's collection," stated Don Beck. "Lectra is pleased to participate in an educational arena like AATCC's International Conference and share the importance of processes and tools available to facilitate color communication and ensure color accuracy."
