T-Splines, Inc. becomes SolidWorks® Solution Partner

T-Splines, Inc., creators of precise and flexible 3D surface modeling tools with full industry standard compatibility and the tsElements integrated application for SolidWorks® 3D CAD software, announced it has joined the SolidWorks Solution Partner Program.

Over a thousand customers across a broad range of industries, including consumer products, jewelry, architecture, and toy design, are leveraging T-Splines in their design workflow to iterate faster on concepts, be more responsive to client requirements, and build gap-free manufacturable prototypes without having to make styling or aesthetic compromises.

tsElements, available as a SolidWorks add-in application, provides import of T-Splines files from Rhino and many popular subdivision modeling packages. These models can then be manipulated as surface or solid bodies inside the SolidWorks features tree.

“We are exploring new workflows for product design using modo, tsElements and SolidWorks. With tsElements, we can manipulate imported data in ways that enhance existing SolidWorks tools. We do a lot of medical products requiring organic yet controlled surfacing. We are finding that for some current projects, tsElements allows us to make more active design decisions in a much shorter timescale,” said Kevin Quigley, Owner of Quigley Design. “As T-Splines introduces additional integrated surfacing products, I fully expect to be able to do all my conceptual and developmental modeling inside SolidWorks.”

tsElements is available as a free trial and for purchase at http://www.tsplines.com.
