Milwaukee Valve Increases Leads and Customer Satisfaction With PARTsolutions 3D Catalog

PARTsolutions announced that Milwaukee Valve, a leader and innovator in the valve manufacturing field, has web-enabled its most in-demand products using PARTsolutions 3D native CAD technology. The online CAD catalog was created in direct response to feedback from Milwaukee Valve's mechanical contractor customers who demonstrated a need for 3D data to shorten and simplify the design cycle.

The availability of high quality configurable 3D native CAD data delivered right from the Milwaukee Valve website enables Milwaukee Valve's customer base of commercial designers, builders and engineers -- charged with building commercial projects like hospitals, housing complexes and data centers -- to search, access, download and configure the company's valve products 24/7. This ability impacts Milwaukee Valve's sales by making it significantly easier for customers to "Design In" its products directly into their proposals, while tracking who is accessing designs in order to proactively deliver sales and support information. What's more, the availability of products online in native CAD shortens the design time and improves the customer experience, while saving valuable internal resources at Milwaukee Valve.

"Empowering our customers to easily configure and download our various valves in virtually any native CAD format is a business imperative that is the key to ensuring our products are specified at the design phase and ultimately purchased," said Rick Giannini, President and CEO, Milwaukee Valve. "PARTsolutions has helped us create a distinct and critical differentiator that is impacting both our customer loyalty and bottom line."

Products currently available in the digital catalog include all types of butterfly valves -- both rubber lined and high performance -- with user-selectable options for lever or gear operator, several designs of flanged iron and steel valves, the 20 Series industrial ball valves (available in bronze, carbon, or stainless steel), as well as the full port threaded and solder end commercial bronze ball valves (BA400/450). Milwaukee Valve plans to continue to populate its extensive full-line product offering throughout the remainder of 2011, in support of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) initiative now active in the engineering and contracting community.
