HANSA Metallwerke AG Introduces ENOVIA

HANSA Metallwerke AG, a leading European manufacturer of high-end, design-oriented kitchen and bathroom fittings, is introducing ENOVIA V6 by Dassault Systèmes as its core PLM solution. The experienced software and consulting provider CENIT helped make it happen.

From now on, the PLM 2.0 solution ENOVIA V6 by the French software maker will enable a central organization of processes and data in all the technical departments involved in the product development process.

“This is a first, far-reaching step towards replacing our previous development environment with a modern PLM solution that will support our innovation process more effectively,” says Mr. Harald Fesenbeck, Head of Technology at HANSA Metallwerke AG.

Supported by its long-standing partner CENIT, HANSA analyzed the processes within the enterprise, fully relying on the experience of the CENIT consultants. From the analysis, the partners derived a long-term PLM strategy and a joint concept for introducing the Dassault Systèmes PLM solutions.

The introduction of ENOVIA V6-based project and program management lays the foundation for cross-department project planning and control and centralized document management. Tasks can now be clearly structured and assigned, resource use planned efficiently, and all required information located quickly.

Thanks to the new, state-of-the-art PLM solution ENOVIA V6, HANSA is ideally prepared for future market challenges and the planned re-use of design and development data across the entire enterprise – from conceptualization to simulation to manufacture. Future project phases will address an optimized, IT-based parts list management, ENOVIA integration with the ERP system, and the introduction of a modern, fully integrated CAD/CAE/CAM system.

In collaboration with HANSA IT under guidance by IT Head Mr. Jürgen Sonntag, CENIT is now busy integrating ENOVIA V6 into the legacy IT landscape. Currently, the mapping of HANSA-specific requirements within the system is underway.

As Value Added Reseller (VAR) for the French software provider Dassault Systèmes, CENIT is accredited for a major portion of the European market and for North America. For further information, please visit http://www.cenit.de/plm
