Planisware 5.2 Supports Integration with Rally Software’s Agile ALM Platform

Planisware™ announced that Planisware 5.2 integrates with Rally’s Agile application lifecycle management (ALM) platform. This integration enables product managers and Agile development teams to better collaborate and improve efficiency in bringing the most customer-pleasing products to market.

For more than a decade, the evolution of Planisware solutions has consistently improved strategic portfolio level capabilities - like road-mapping, budgeting, simulations, and scenario planning - and operational level capabilities - including project, resource and cost management, and collaboration workflows. The latest release of Planisware 5.2 expands the scope of functionality to include the business intelligence and decision support needed to better manage the full product life cycle within NPD and IT organizations. Integration with Rally’s Agile ALM platform further broadens the reach of the solution to include the realm of Agile software development management.

In today’s competitive world, more and more NPD and IT companies are turning to Agile practices, trading in rigid and inflexible processes for dynamic, iterative approaches that achieve greater productivity and success in development. A leader in Agile application lifecycle management (ALM), Rally is dedicated to helping organizations embrace Agile and Lean development practices that increase the pace of innovation and improve product quality.

“We are excited to announce our collaboration with Planisware, a recognized leader in the product portfolio management space,” said Rally’s VP of Products, Todd Olson. “The integration with Planisware will enable product-focused organizations to leverage Rally’s built-in Agile practices, helping reduce both development costs and time to market while incorporating more user feedback, ultimately improving customer satisfaction.”

Integrating Rally data with Planisware gives all stakeholders insight into when a particular feature or bug fix will be implemented, improving transparency and allowing for more accurate planning. When product managers update project and release information within Planisware, the data is synchronized on-demand or in real-time within Rally. In turn, details provided by developers at the sprint or story level within Rally are consolidated back into Planisware. Product managers and developers communicate effortlessly while still utilizing their preferred system of record.

The integration of Planisware 5 with Rally’s Agile ALM platform is available with the latest release of Planisware 5, out now. For more information about Planisware 5 for Project and Product Portfolio Management, please visit http://www.planisware.com or e-mail info@planisware.com.
