Catalog Data Solutions CAD Download Solution Implemented by Newport
Catalog Data Solutions (CDS) announced that Newport Corp. has implemented its online CAD download solution.
Newport Corp. manufactures a vast array of advanced technology products and includes industry leading brands such as New Focus™, Oriel® Instruments, Richardson Gratings™ and Spectra-Physics®. “We have offered CAD model downloads from our website for several years. Our customers rely on the information to build into new design projects. In 2009, Newport acquired New Focus, adding a number of new high-performance products,” said Tom Miller, Director, Web Business Group, Newport. “New Focus had already been using the CDS ModelServer SaaS solution for over 5 years; while Newport used another vendor’s solution. Our team evaluated the alternatives and decided to standardize on the CDS solution. CDS’ technology, customer service, flexibility, adaptability, configurability and cost advantages all factored into that decision.”
