3Dconnexion helps the SketchUp community build with greater ease and control with 3D mice support for Google SketchUp™ 8 and SketchUp Pro 8. 3Dconnexion 3D mice provide SketchUp users with advanced control of their designs and workspace for increased productivity when modeling buildings, furniture, appliances, cars and more.
Whether designing in context, creating a shadow study or photo-modeling existing models, 3Dconnexion 3D mice allow SketchUp designers to move more intuitively and with precise control. 3D mice enable SketchUp users to achieve more, providing a level of design interaction that is unattainable with a traditional mouse and keyboard, including:
- Superior Navigation: Allows SketchUp designers to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate as if they are holding the model or camera in their hand; 3D mice also give designers working in SketchUp Pro 8 more intuitive control of new Solid Tools modeling operations for creating, editing or validating multiple shapes
- Precise Control: Patented six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) sensor is capable of detecting input as small as four micrometers for smooth and natural control of a sketch or complex 3D model
- Improved Efficiency: Programmable buttons provide quick access to commonly used application commands, enabling SketchUp designers to focus more on their models
- Intelligent 3D Navigation: Sets the center of rotation to a point on the model that is nearest to the display screen center, which is helpful at higher zoom levels, or SketchUp users can pick a new center of rotation point for an individual design task
