Growth of WorkNC in Brazil Supported By New Subsidiary
Sescoi has opened a new subsidiary in Brazil to develop sales and technical support and services for its WorkNC automatic CAD/CAM software and its WorkXPlore 3D high speed viewer, bringing advanced manufacturing software and knowhow to engineering companies in the country.
Sescoi has been serving its OEM automotive customers and their suppliers in Brazil for a number of years via its WorkNC distributor, T-Data Processamentos, and has now acquired the company. The existing engineering staff will be employed by Sescoi Brasil and will remain at the same offices at Rua Paraiba 192-SI 03, 09521-070 Sao Caetano do Sul – São Paulo.
Cyrille Schneider has been appointed Business Development Manager for Sescoi Brasil. He will lead the new subsidiary with the aim of building and managing a network of distributors to service the growing demand for top-end CAD/CAM software and CNC machining knowhow in this emerging market.
Cyrille is a French national and has been living and working in Brazil for the past 10 years so is a fluent Portuguese speaker. His background includes a diploma in mechanical and production engineering from the University Institute of Technology of Mulhouse in France, a period as an Industrial Designer at Solvay Automotive in France and Country Manager for a Spanish company operating in Brazil. He is also an active member of the business community in São Paulo.
Cyrille Schneider says, “Brazil’s economy grew by 7.5% in 2010 and it is a net exporter to China. There is huge potential for expansion within the engineering sector as part of the country’s predicted growth pattern. I am delighted to be able to provide Brazilian manufacturers with a top-level, easy to use CAD/CAM system such as WorkNC.”
