CSC Releases a Free Design Review Tool, Fastrak Reviewer
CSC has released Fastrak Reviewer, a brand new viewer and design review tool. This new and free software enables structural engineers to share the models they create using CSC’s steel building design software, Fastrak, with their entire project team including architects and clients.
In practice structural engineers will often develop their first model in Fastrak, very early in the design process. To aid both internal and external collaboration project managers can now walk through and review the Fastrak model using intuitive controls to rotate, fly through and slice through the model. Fastrak Reviewer allows them to annotate the model with comments and points for clarification, using red-lining mark up tools.
“This new free product adds huge value to senior project managers who do not typically get involved with the detail of the Fastrak model. Using Fastrak Reviewer, they can now visualise, review and discuss the design with stakeholders and make comments without being involved in the in-depth detail of the Fastrak model”, comments Barry Chapman, Regional Director at CSC.
