Tech Soft 3D Releases Latest Versions of HOOPS Exchange and HOOPS Publish
Tech Soft 3D announced new enhancements to its HOOPS Exchange and HOOPS Publish toolkits.
HOOPS Exchange v5.0, a data access SDK for fast, accurate read/write of multiple 3D CAD file formats, features SAT export for easy integration with ACIS applications, PMI support for CATIA V6 (3DXML) files, CATIA V5 drawing support, and updates to recent file format versions. It also includes precise measurement enhancements, including APIs for curve and surface simplification, and optimized capability to project points to curves or surfaces.
HOOPS Publish v5.0, a 3D PDF publishing toolkit based on PRC, the native 3D file format used in Adobe® Reader® and Adobe Acrobat®, offers a variety of new functions for developers to generate sophisticated 3D PDFs. Enhancements include the ability to create multi-page PDFs and multiple 3D windows per page, enhanced JavaScript functionality, and support for international text strings including Japanese, Chinese and Hebrew.
"Our products free data to move easily within workflows, around the world and on multiple platforms," says Gavin Bridgeman, VP of SDK Products. "We're proud to create high-value SDKs with the powerful features and portability the industry requires, and we look forward to seeing these new enhancements implemented in our customers' applications."
Both HOOPS Exchange and HOOPS Publish are important technologies in a large and growing community of developers, software vendors, end users, and standards and governmental organizations that rely on PRC and 3D PDF as open standards.
