Infinite Z Showcases Virtual-holographic 3D Imagery with NX Software at PLM World

Infinite Z, Inc.® today revealed a proof of concept demonstration of  NX™ software, Siemens PLM Software's solution for integrated computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE), running on its zSpace 3D virtualization platform at PLM World® 2012. The collaboration seeks to redefine conceptualization and digital prototyping in industrial design, manufacturing and engineering.

The immersive demo will be available to PLM World 2012 attendees at the Lenovo booth #12 and Saratech booth #19. Additionally Peter Johnson, Senior Director of Business Development for Infinite Z, and Ken Hosch, Director of NX Research for Siemens PLM Software, will present the new solution and discuss the future of immersive 3D for design in a partner project roundtable on Wednesday, May 9, at 3:25 p.m. PDT.

zSpace is a hardware and software solution that enables designers and engineers to directly interact with virtual holographic simulations as if they were real physical objects. Through this immersive experience, it enables users to accelerate the design and development process and increase productivity. This latest development with NX adds to the number of proof of concept and beta projects that Infinite Z has previously announced.

"We are very interested in exploring solutions that enable new levels of realism and interaction in Siemens PLM Software products," said Hosch. "We think there is tremendous potential for ideas like the collaboration with zSpace to turn into successful solutions that accelerate design, assembly, understanding, awareness and presentation capabilities for our users."

"We look forward to working with Siemens PLM Software," said Paul Kellenberger, CEO of Infinite Z. "NX users consistently produce innovative designs and this proof of concept will showcase how zSpace can help to further enhance their design experience and help them bring their products to market faster."
