CD-adapco Welcomes Sector Manager for Electric Machines

CD-adapco is growing considerably in the field of electric machine design and from February this growth will be significantly augmented as Markus Anders joins CD-adapco.

MACCON's Managing Director, Ted Hopper commented on Markus Anders' new position with CD-adapco," After many exciting years of realizing advanced motor projects and selling and supporting SPEED motor design software with MACCON, Markus Anders has chosen to take on another career challenge. He leaves our organization at the end of January 2012. However, Markus will not be lost to the SPEED community. He is about to play an even more important role. As of February, he will join CD-adapco as a global product manager for electric motor design tools. As such, he will continue to support us and our customers as well as all other SPEED distributors world-wide," said Hopper.

He continued, "At MACCON, the motor team, Christoph Stuckmann and Hans Kott, will take over the technical support of our motor design software customers, both existing and potential. An additional person will be appointed to run our software sales activities, who will be the first point of call for customers both technically and commercially. We thank Markus for his great efforts in the name of MACCON and wish both him and us successful co-operation in the future to the benefit of all SPEED players."

Scott Del Porte, Senior Vice President of New Business Development at CD-adapco, also commented on Anders' new role with CD-adapco, "We are very excited to have Markus join our team. Appointing Markus to this new role demonstrates our commitment to the industry and furthers our mission to be at the forefront of electric machine design."

In the future, a detailed 3D electromagnetic solver will become part of STAR-CCM+ with the ultimate aim to further strengthen the simulation tool and provide more solutions to CD-adapco's clients. Electric machine design is a very important focus for CD-adapco and their ongoing developments in this arena mark a significant commitment from them in the electromagnetic field.

Markus Anders will be at the upcoming SPEED Workshop, March 19-21, 2012 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The workshop will cover an introduction to SPEED for new users, training on the latest version of SPEED for new and existing users, an in-depth review of new SPEED features, and industrial presentations on Electrification.
