M-Files and QTE Partner to Deliver Agile ECM to Engineering and Manufacturing Firms

M-Files Inc., the developer of M-Files flexible cloud and on-premise enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, today announced that QTE Manufacturing Solutions, a Missouri-based IT firm specializing in providing 2D/3D CAD and CAM software solutions to manufacturing and engineering companies, is the newest member of the company's Partner Program. QTE has integrated M-Files into Mastercam, a leading CAD/CAM software solution, as a value-added service to its manufacturing and engineering customers and prospects.

QTE Manufacturing Solutions provides software and services to manufacturers including Mastercam and related applications. The firm, which has traditionally specialized in NC programming applications, inspection solutions, training and technical helpdesk support, computer/software support, and business process management consulting services, has expanded beyond the manufacturing realm with its new division QTE Technology Solutions.

“M-Files alleviates the pain points expressed by our manufacturing and engineering customers regarding misplaced, overwritten, or errantly-modified files associated with their production processes such as NC programming," said Jeff Quinn, President of QTE. "With M-Files, our customers will be able to recapture lost time, increase productivity and reduce errors because they can now instantly find files or information when needed, and further, they can be sure they have the 'right' information based on the latest and most accurate version."

M-Files provides a flexible platform that not only assists manufacturing and engineering companies with their core "front office" businesses, it also provides an easy-to-use solution for managing documents and processes associated with the "back office" operations of the business, such as processing invoices, managing contracts and archiving emails, making it ideal for resource constrained small and medium-size businesses in addition to larger enterprises.

“Many of QTE's customers and prospects are still heavily reliant on traditional methods for managing their documents, including invoices, purchase orders, proposals, contracts, emails, CAD drawings, NC programs, and other vital information,” said Scott Erickson, vice president of channel sales at M-Files Inc. "This partnership reinforces our focus on providing manufacturing and engineering companies with the robust and rich ECM capabilities they need to efficiently manage not only documentation and processes associated with design and production, but those associated with all aspects of their business operations."

The M-Files Partner Program enables solution providers and resellers to get in on the ground floor as M-Files establishes a leadership position in the rapidly growing ECM market. M-Files Partners commonly sell and service M-Files in conjunction with existing solution portfolios to help businesses organize, manage and track documents, information and processes to improve productivity and quality and support compliance initiatives.
