SolidACE Releases New Version 3.1 of BuiltWorks
SolidACE, a company developing computer aided design and engineering tools for the architectural, building and construction engineering, and plant engineering markets, today announced the release of the new version 3.1 of BuiltWorks, a structural steel design and engineering add-in application for SolidWorks® CAD environment.
“BuiltWorks is flexible to enable external best of breed vertical market products from AEC and Plant industries to be linked to SolidWorks establishing communication chain within and between companies involved in the design, analysis, fabrication and construction of industrial facilities, buildings and structures,” said Dr. Vladimir Popov, CEO of SolidACE. “BuiltWorks can read and save data in popular industrial formats – SDNF (Steel Detailing Neutral Format), and CIS/2 (CIM steel Integration Standards). - Exports extrudes as structural plates
- Imports structural plates as Imported Bodies
- Suitable for data exchange with Tekla Structures, AceCad StruCAD, Design Data SDS/2 Detailing System and other Detailing and Fabrication Systems
- SolidWorks link to Structural Analysis and Design
- Direct Bi-directional link in STAAD.Pro format
- Import and Export of CIS/2 Analysis Model
- Support of SolidWorks native Weldments
- Suitable for data exchange with Bentley STAAD.Pro and RAM Structural System, Dlubal RSTAB, CSi SAP2000 and ETABS, RISA-3D, Robot Structural Analysis and other A&D Systems
- SolidWorks link to Building and Structural Design
- Import and Export of CIS/2 Design and Analysis Models or SDNF format
- Support of SolidWorks native Weldments
- Supports basic Connection Detailing features
- Suitable for data exchange with AutoCAD Structural Detailing, Bentley Structural Modeler and ProSteel, Graitec Advance Steel, Autodesk Revit Structure and other AEC Systems
