Genpact Adds to Capabilities for Manufacturing Industry with Acquisition of Triumph Engineering Corp.

Genpact Limited today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Triumph Engineering Corp., a provider of engineering and technical services to the aviation, energy, and oil and gas industries. Closing is subject to satisfaction of certain customary conditions. Terms of the deal are not disclosed.

Triumph, with offices in Cincinnati and Baltimore, enhances Genpact's services portfolio for the infrastructure and manufacturing sector by adding capabilities in the large and high-growth segment of engineering and technical services.  With deep domain expertise in aircraft/engine, electrical, and aerospace system design and integration and energy, along with a highly-skilled engineering talent base, Triumph is well positioned to help Genpact meet increasing client demands for innovative engineering services both in the U.S. and globally.  Triumph has a number of marquee clients in the aviation and energy sectors.

"The acquisition of Triumph is an excellent fit for Genpact. We are seeing a huge demand for engineering services in highly technology-intensive industries like aviation, energy and oil and gas. This acquisition will allow us to combine Triumph's onsite expertise and depth in engineering with our global scale, end-to-end process management, analytics, and technology capabilities to meet this growing demand," said Tiger Tyagarajan, president and CEO, Genpact.  "Our plan is to build out engineering centers of excellence (COEs) with an initial focus on the aviation and energy sectors which we would later expand to cover other manufacturing segments.  We are very excited to add Triumph's highly talented and experienced team of engineers, allowing us to deliver core engineering design services and enhanced value proposition to our clients in the manufacturing and infrastructure vertical."

"Triumph is excited to join the Genpact team in this next step in our evolution," said Harry Westerkamp, CEO, Triumph Engineering.  "The markets and clients today demand global delivery.  By leveraging Genpact's global delivery footprint, leading hiring and training practices, operational excellence, and existing business process management services for the manufacturing industry, we'll be able to offer comprehensive services that address the new product innovation demand we're seeing from our clients and help them achieve maximum business impact."

Triumph provides an extensive portfolio of engineering services encompassing product definition and design, product documentation (regulatory compliance and research, technical documentation, manufacturing engineering support), product analysis, and engineering IT services such as product lifecycle management (PLM) implementation and customization and computer-aided design (CAD) customization.  Triumph's 90 employees will become Genpact employees as part of Genpact's Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Services (IMS) vertical, which has been providing leading finance and accounting, supply chain management, procurement, and aftermarket services to clients in these markets.
