ZWCAD+ Incorporates .dwg Support and 3D Components from ODA and Spatial
ZWCAD Design today officially announced that ZWCAD+ has incorporated .dwg support and 3D components from Open Design Alliance and Spatial. This allows ZWCAD+ designers to communicate across different 2D and 3D platforms with the ease of data exchange.
.dwg Support from Open Design Alliance
The Open Design Alliance is a nonprofit organization with over 1,200 members in 50 countries which develops Teigha®, a platform used to create engineering applications. For the CAD industry, the ODA is committed to open industry-standard formats for the exchange of data, which enables CAD suppliers to focus on creating a fully functional CAD application without worrying about .dwg compatibility.
The .dwg file format of other mainstream software in the CAD industry makes it the most convenient way to exchange data and collaborate on projects. In order to enable users’ design work to be easily shared and exchanged, Teigha® was adopted to make ZWCAD+ seamlessly compatible with other mainstream CAD software. This helps ZWCAD+ satisfy user needs, and ease workloads, all at a reasonable price.
3D Components from Spatial Corp.
ZWCAD+ knows that for its users, it is easier and more convenient to edit and view 3D models without switching over to different 3D CAD software. Incorporating 3D components from Spatial allows ZWCAD+ users to do this without concern of data loss.
Spatial Corporation is an international supplier of 3D modeling kernels. They provide 3D components including extensions, updates to its solid modeler, visualization and translator technology to independent software vendors all around the world.
“The new ZWCAD+ is fully capable thanks to 3D components from Spatial and .dwg support of ODA. We believe this powerful CAD software can provide CAD designers an efficient and versatile drafting experience.” stated Kingdom Lin, the ZWCAD+ Overseas Business Director.
