Updated Renderworks Tutorial Available
Nemetschek Vectorworks has published an updated training guide for users of Vectorworks® software. Remarkable Renderworks: An Introduction to the Basics, Second Edition helps readers not only achieve high-quality renderings of their computer-modeled designs, but it also lets them gain proficiency in the Renderworks® application. Powered by the CINEMA 4D render engine, Renderworks is the essential rendering plug-in for Vectorworks software. The tutorial’s author is respected architect and experienced Vectorworks user Daniel Jansenson, who also wrote the book’s first edition.
Through an exercised-based format, Remarkable Renderworks readers will learn how easy it is to create renderings simply by setting lighting controls and adding map textures and backgrounds—all from within one single application. By reading the chapters and then experimenting with the included files, readers will quickly become familiar with the tools and achieve productivity in a short amount of time. The manual is intended for the Renderworks user who already has some experience with the fundamentals of Vectorworks programs.
Jansenson says the new tutorial describes a three-step workflow that, “If followed systematically, can use Renderworks’ powerful, photorealistic capabilities to create beautiful, even artistic images easily and consistently.” The new book also describes methods to use light reflecting from the sky to illuminate a scene, supplemented by the new Heliodon tool that replicates the sun’s light.
“The latest version of Renderworks has greatly increased the quality and realism of renderings, in a way that is easily accessible to the average user,” says Jansenson. “The important thing to remember is that a step-by-step approach can often quickly yield highly pleasing images, especially when the lighting and rendering tools are carefully adjusted, all of which is now more easily possible than ever before.”
