Inforbix Introducing Mobile Search for CAD and Product Data on iPad
Demand for mobile applications continues to grow, and Inforbix, http://www.inforbix.com , a company that develops intelligent apps for intelligent CAD and product data access, has responded by taking a step forward and providing their first mobile application for the iPad that gives customers the ability to search and access engineering data on the go.
Customers asked for a mobile solution that gives them the ability to search and access their product data in their company while out of the office or away from their computers. The new Inforbix iPad app provides users with that instant access.
“We are very excited to offer our first mobile application to our users,” said CEO Oleg Shilovitsky. “Mobility is trending. People want access to their data on the go, so we’ve responded by offering them a simple yet effective means of searching and accessing their data on the go.”
Inforbix is a collection of integrated applications that work together to assist customers in finding, re-using, and sharing product data. It is a cloud solution accessed by users via a standard web browser.
The underlying power behind the iPad app is provided by Inforbix’s semantic technology, which automatically finds and infers relationships between disparate sources of structured and unstructured product data. By linking and connecting related product data together, Inforbix is able to provide users with an ability to find, locate, and access product data quickly and thoroughly.
The service currently can access multiple file types and unstructured product data sources. Inforbix apps are cloud-based, fast to deploy, and require no data migration or maintenance, on premise data is not touched or moved into the cloud.
“There’s lots of data everywhere. Customers are asking ‘How can I access it all with a single solution?’ Enter Inforbix, and the new iPad app will take Inforbix, a fresh new approach to find, engage with, and administer product data in manufacturing companies, a giant step forward in accessibility,” Shilovitsky said.
Current Inforbix customers can immediately begin using the Inforbix iPad app, available for free on the Apple App Store at http://www.inforbix.com/inforbix-mobile-search-for-cad-and-product-data-on-the-ipad/. Account access taps existing Inforbix credentials. New users are encouraged to register with Inforbix to enable the iPad app to access product data within their company.
