Luxion Releases KeyShot 3.3

Luxion is proud to release KeyShot 3.3 with new updates, UI enhancements, additional file support and a whole new way to view 3D models.

The third update to KeyShot 3 continues to add features and software enhancements to speed the 3D rendering and animation process. With KeyShot 3.3, KeyShot users have more control over their color options and a new ability to create interactive 3D content, quickly and easily, direct from the KeyShot interface.

KeyShotVR
KeyShot 3.3 introduces a new patent-pending technology for presenting products on the web. KeyShotVRTM is a 3D, interactive representation of products that can be viewed on any HTML5-enabled web-browser, including mobile devices, all without the need for any special plugins. KeyShotVR is an optional add-on that introduces an additional rendering option with settings to create different four different VR types and produce a touch-enabled 3D experience that can be embedded within any webpage. Find out more and see examples at http://keyshot.com/vr/.

Color Selector
KeyShot 3.3 introduces a new color selector, accessible for any color option in the KeyShot Project panel. The new Color Selection dialog allows KeyShot users to pick colors from anywhere on their screen with the added ability to save selected colors to a new palette.

Support for Autodesk Inventor 2013
Luxion continues to bring the widest variety of import options of any 3D rendering software and introduces support for Autodesk Inventor 2013 files. Autodesk Inventor users are able to import their 3D data directly into KeyShot, retaining the colors, names and assembly structure.

Additional enhancements for KeyShot 3.3 include:

  • Improved support for texture coordinates from SolidWorks
  • Improvements to importers including NX, Parasolid, Creo, and Inventor
  • Several bug fixes
