Applied Instrument Technologies Deploys SofTech’s ProductCenter PLM
SofTech, Inc. has announced that its ProductCenter® PLM solution has been deployed by Applied Instrument Technologies (AIT).
“Choosing ProductCenter was an easy decision. We had the utmost confidence in the product and ProductCenter’s technical support personnel,” states David Rechsteiner, Engineering Manager at AIT. “The efficiency of bringing ProductCenter on-line lived up to our expectations.”
ProductCenter supports the entire company including departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Field Service and Corporate Management. AIT intends to further automate business processes including its Engineering Change Notification (ECN), Software Problem tracking, Engineering Release and Standard Production Release, which ProductCenter Workflow easily facilitates. ProductCenter is also an important element of AIT’s ISO processes.
“ProductCenter works well and its classification structure is a good fit for AIT’s business. Accurately locating items in the secure vault in a timely manner is made easy through ProductCenter’s search utility,” adds David Rechsteiner. “We are looking to continually improve and enhance our business processes by taking advantage of SofTech’s expertise and ProductCenter’s capabilities.”
