Engineers India Limited (EIL) Implements Tekla BIM software

Tekla India, Building Information Modeling (BIM) software provider has entered into a corporate agreement with Engineers India Limited (EIL), a provider of engineering services for petroleum refineries and other industrial projects. Tekla will provide software licenses and multi-year maintenance for Engineers India Limited. EIL will use Tekla BIM software as a tool for their upcoming structural engineering projects for efficient project collaboration.

“With Tekla BIM, we will now have access to a model-based software tool that will ensure complete and accurate project information – right from design to production. This will further result in reduced project delivery times, operational costs and waste, while increasing efficiency, reliability and sustainability,” said Mr. Vinay Kumar, CGM – Engineering and Technical Services, EIL.

Given that EIL is working under the administrative control of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG), this is a great opportunity for Tekla India to extend its service portfolio to the Government of India.

Tekla BIM software solutions work like model-based encyclopedias of the project, allowing the inclusion of every detail while managing the construction process as a whole.

“Tekla has always been a committed partner to all our customers, and we strive to deliver the same level of commitment for EIL as well. Our team will work closely with EIL to implement their engineering standards through our technology, and we look forward to having a long term, mutually beneficial relationship with EIL. We are proud and excited to be associated with EIL,” says Mr. Nirmalya Chatterjee, COO, Tekla India.

Tekla offers Building Information Modeling (BIM) software that enables the creation and management of accurately detailed, highly constructible 3D structural models, regardless of material or structural complexity. Tekla models can be used to cover the entire building process from conceptual design to fabrication, erection and construction management.

Centralizing building information into the model allows for more collaborative and integrated project management and delivery. This translates into increased productivity and elimination of waste, thus making construction and buildings more sustainable. Tekla Structures is an innovative software environment that facilitates open integration with architectural models while supporting the end-to-end construction process.
