AVEVA to Present at AIChE 2012

AVEVA today announced that it will present a paper in the upcoming American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) conference October 28 - November 2 2012. Philip Simon, of the Business Consulting team at AVEVA, will discuss the topic: ‘A Pragmatic Approach to Creating a Digital Information Hub for Plant Asset Information’.

'Amidst all the latest information management technologies, a fundamental challenge has also emerged, ironically fueled by information technology itself,' Paul Halpin, Senior Vice President - Business Consulting, AVEVA. 'It is a tug-of-war between best of breed applications vying to be the central source of information. However, information will continue to be created in numerous, disparate sources. There is no simple way to get them all together in a single system. The process required to create a data standard and ensure that information complies with it is a serious challenge.

'In this presentation, we will compare and contrast the best way to adopt a centralized source of information against other current approaches. In addition, we will discuss the key ingredients of an information hub, such as compliance and standards, that can deliver value from the start.'

AVEVA Global Business Consulting applies AVEVA’s considerable technology expertise in advising clients on a wide range of issues where business performance relates to the use of digital information.

The AVEVA Digital Information Hub (DIH) concept puts information at the centre of business operations. By integrating, controlling and exploiting all types of information - not only engineering data - throughout the entire asset lifecycle, the DIH unlocks the value of your digital assets.
