Experience CIM DATABASE 10 PLM live

CONTACT Software will be presenting the release 10 of its flagship product CIM DATABASE PLM publicly for the first time in November under the motto "Simple. Open." Process managers, decision-makers, PLM experts and press representatives can expect a wide range of new features and innovations in the areas platform technologies, PLM core services, PLM applications and user interface.

"With release 10, we are underscoring our commitment to providing manufacturing companies and development organizations with the most powerful open platform for collaborative product development," says CONTACT's managing director Karl Heinz Zachries, who will be presenting the positioning and highlights of the new version together with the head of development and the project management team. Zachries cited the new collaboration portal for distributed collaboration with partners and suppliers and the latest version of the unique Workspaces technology for collaborative product development and CAD/CAE data management as examples.

CONTACT is bundling further developments in variant and configuration management under the term "virtual product". Together with the new solution for requirements management, the PLM solution provider is targeting companies that develop complex products in the context of systems engineering.

In addition, the new features include a framework for PLM metrics that also incorporates functions for deviation management. In addition to classic key product data, important process-oriented data can also be extracted from the database and visualized to allow the systematic monitoring of PLM processes based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the cycle time for engineering changes.

CIM DATABASE 10 PLM also offers a completely redesigned user interface for PLM applications that provides users with much greater transparency, control and faster navigation.
