AVEVA presents ’Managing the Future’ at SIA 2012
AVEVA announced today that it is presenting and sponsoring at the 6th biennial conference of the Submarine Institute of Australia (SIA) in Canberra, Australia on 14-15 November 2012. Bruce Douglas, Senior Vice-President, EDS Strategy & Marketing, AVEVA, will present a paper on data management strategies for large capital projects
'Complex capital projects such as submarines require very advanced engineering technology and are a massive undertaking', explained Mr Douglas. 'To deliver such projects on budget and on schedule, organisations must have the vision to evolve with, and take full advantage of, today’s rapidly advancing technology and information management solutions.
'Over the last 45 years, AVEVA has pursued a technology strategy which continually increases capabilities while securing engineering data, enabling its continuing use through successive generations of computing technology. This paper will discuss the requirements for an Information Management strategy which is ‘future tolerant’ and essential to support long-term projects such as FSM.'
In addition, AVEVA will sponsor the luncheon on 15 November. AVEVA will also host two additional seminars in Brisbane and Perth the following week, addressing AVEVA’s response to the requirements of the engineering industry and operators of complex assets.
