Jotne and Lockheed Martin to Host Seminar on New Technologies for Engineering Data Interoperability

Jotne Group and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics will conduct a seminar on Nov. 28, on the subject of Inspiring Interoperability of Information".  The seminar will help companies comply with the ISO standards for data exchange and sharing of engineering and logistics support data.

The seminar will be open to the public with seating on a first-come, first-served basis and registration is at http://www.jotne.com/simdm which includes the agenda and related documentation.  

Jotne and Lockheed Martin will present information about the technology requirements for complying with the new ISO standards and will also provide an overview of tools and information available to assist with compliance.

More specifically Jotne will showcase its new technology "Open Simulation Data Management" (Open SimDM), a joint development between Jotne and Lockheed Martin that enables support for the ISO STEP and PLCS standards with a focus on integrated PLM, CAD and Engineering Analysis (FEM) information. The long term archiving of such data will also be addressed by Open SimDM.

In addition, case studies from the F-35 Fighter FACO program, Norwegian Oil and Gas projects and the Building sector will be presented. The U.S. based company Kiewit Corporation, one of the largest and most respected construction organizations in North America, will also present their strategy for using the open standards. 

The seminar also covers frequently asked questions about the standards and technology requirements. 

This event will be held in Oslo, Norway, at the Oslo Military Society conference facilities.
