IGC Announces Brava 7.1 for EMC Documentum D2 at the Momentum Vienna 2012 Conference

Informative Graphics Corporation (IGC) unveiled widgets to enable Brava Enterprise viewing, annotation, redaction and publishing functionality within the EMC Documentum D2 experience. IGC demonstrated the new Brava for D2 functionality -- including an HTML5 client option, video markup and Changemarkdiscussions -- at the EMC Momentum conference in Vienna.

The new Brava Enterprise HTML5 widget provides a zero-footprint, cross-platform, cross-browser client to view virtually any document, image or drawing without having to worry about workstation installations, Java or IT resources. In addition, IGC's video markup client is integrated to D2, so users can now play and annotate video clips within D2.

The Brava Enterprise ActiveX client is also integrated to D2 for even more advanced viewer functionality. Thumbnails and threaded Changemark discussions are now visible both through the IGC widget and through Brava itself.

With these new capabilities, Brava helps streamline business processes and workflows while also providing its signature security, allowing users to remove sensitive content and publish documents to PDF, TIFF and secure CSF formats without downloading originals.

IGC works with EMC and its customers to take Brava's viewing technology beyond that of a standard viewer. "We work hard to deliver solutions that help simplify customers' day-to-day work and at the same time provide true efficiency gains in their access to content and in their need to collaborate," said Gary Heath, president and CEO of IGC. "We are very excited about the building blocks that are emerging in D2 that are enabling us to achieve this."

Highlights of Brava 7.1 for EMC D2:

Brava HTML5 client - Provides a zero-footprint client for PC/IE9, Chrome, Firefox, and Mac/Safari platforms.
Video markup client - Supports video play and markup. Allows video files in MP4, MOV or Flash formats to be viewed and annotated within D2.
Brava ActiveX client - Extends viewing, annotation and redaction feature support, includes secure visual rights and better CAD support.
Metadata enabled - Brava-enabled document metadata included in stamps, printing and publishing watermarks/banners.
PDF/TIFF publishing - Brava HTML5 and ActiveX clients enable files and annotations to be published to the repository or emailed.
In-content collaboration - Within the ActiveX client, display and review all in-content discussions -- or a specific discussion topic of interest -- with status indication (e.g., approved, rejected, etc.).
