Equalis Introduces Advanced Image and Video Processing Module

Equalis today announced the availability of its Advanced Image and Video Processing module.  This new capability was developed in collaboration with Equalis’ partner, Trity Technologies, based in Malaysia. It is included as part of the Equalis Pro Plus solution.

The Equalis Advanced Image and Video Processing Module is an important module for Scilab users as it enables users to perform powerful image and video processing tasks efficiently and is seamlessly integrated within Equalis environment. With over 120 functions, applications such as filtering, image analysis and statistics, image enhancement and restoration, image registration and image fusion, image transforms, morphological operation, and many others, together enable high level image detection and processing to be performed within the same environment. Additionally, video files and cameras can be managed and manipulated, allowing users to perform soft real-time video processing. This provides Equalis users a flexible environment to explore design ideas and create unique solutions for imaging and video systems.

Equalis provides premier software modules on top of the Scilab open source platform and industrial grade support through subscription programs; typically costing 90% less than purchasing equivalent software applications. Training, deployment and consulting services are also available for a fast start.  Equalis’ premier modules include: Code Generation, Communications, Connectivity, Control and Power Systems, Fixed Point, Instrument Control, Neural Networks, Thunder and Lightning (Parallelization), Signal Processing, SoftCruncher (software performance enhancement), and many more.

Equalis Pro Plus solution is available with prices starting at $995 per user. Existing Equalis Pro Plus subscribers can download these new capabilities from the company's customer portal.

"With the introduction of our newest module, Advanced Image and Video Processing, we continue to provide compelling functionality integrated into our solution suite all for one low price,” said Carmine Napolitano, CEO and Co-founder, Equalis. "These new capabilities further enrich our solution and allow our customers to tackle problems in the rapidly emerging fields of computer vision, image and video processing.”

“We are excited to further enhance our partnership with Equalis in the development of this exciting solution,” said Gary Yang, Business Development Director of Trity Technologies. “As Equalis Pro Plus is being adopted in the industry, we are pleased to supplement these customers by adding Advanced Image and Video Processing functionality under the same and easy to use integrated environment.”
