Cutting-edge, Wall-sized, fun and free - Reality with Tekla BIMsight on SMART Board Interactive Whiteboards
Tekla Corporation software development firm and member of the SMART Technologies ecosystem network, has announced that the latest Tekla BIMsight 1.7 is integrated with SMART Board® interactive displays. Tekla BIMsight users can use the software directly on a SMART Board interactive display, which is an increasingly common tool used by architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) firms to facilitate communication and problem solving during design reviews.
Creates highly interactive visual collaboration experience
You can use all the features of Tekla BIMsight you are used to, just on a new and exciting device. Walk to the display and touch it, or take a pen and eraser and use them in the way you learned at school.

No extra plug-ins. To start, you only need to connect a SMART Board to a computer with an Internet connection for downloading Tekla BIMsight 1.7.

Tekla BIMsight on a SMART Board is ideal for a design and construction coordination meeting between project members or a big room situation. Actually, those with a touch screen device can take part remotely and do not have to walk to the SMART Board as they can use their own screen to participate, regardless of where they are.
SMART Board interactive display features supported by Tekla BIMsight 1.7:
- Special SMART Board features, such as pens and eraser, with redlining
- Use colored pens to draw colored drawings and/or notes directly onto the model
- SMART Board eraser removes bits of redlining in the model view
- Use touch controls on SMART Board to use Tekla BIMsight tools and manipulate the BIM model
- Move multiple clip planes at once on devices supporting multi-touch controls
