Delcam Marks Student Employment Week by Announcing Recruitment Plans

CADCAM developer Delcam has marked National Student Employment Week by announcing its recruitment plans for the summer intake. The company added 25 students to the staff at its Birmingham headquarters last summer and is planning to offer a similar number of positions this year. Further details are on www.delcam.com/careers.

Like last year, the vacancies include new positions as permanent staff and places for students wanting to gain employment experience during their courses through fixed-term placements. Posts are available in software development, engineering support and marketing.

“As might be expected, we have offered some of the new permanent positions to students that have previously completed placements at Delcam,” commented Software Development Manager, Richard Barrett. “However, we are still actively looking for more first class applicants for all our departments with assessment days planned over the coming months.”

The announcement of Delcam’s 2012 graduate programme comes at a time of continued growth for the company, both in its established manufacturing business and in the newer healthcare markets. Delcam is expected to confirm record sales last year when its 2011 results are announced next month and is targeting further growth during this year.
