Los Angeles County Department of Public Works Deploys Innovyze Smart Water Network Modeling Technology

Innovyze announced that the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works (LACDPW), California, has elected to adopt Innovyze’s InfoWater, InfoWater MSX and CapPlan smart water modeling and management solution software to support its comprehensive capital improvement program and optimize business performance. The purchase equips LACDPW with a comprehensive range of high-performance ArcGIS-centric (Esri, Redlands, CA) water infrastructure analysis and management capabilities, enabling it to address critical design, operational, water quality, and capital investment planning issues with maximum effectiveness while improving customer service.

LACDPW will use Innovyze programs to develop and calibrate accurate, comprehensive dynamic models of all its districts. These models will aid the enterprise in optimizing its capital improvement plans to provide maximum benefit for the lowest cost.

“We were looking for a comprehensive, easy-to-use GIS-centric solution for both hydraulic and water quality network analysis and asset performance modeling that would help us optimize our complex water systems,” said Ray Razo, P.E., Associate Civil Engineer, Waterworks Division at LACDPW. “The Innovyze ArcGIS-centric smart water network management applications suite gives us a set of very powerful tools to tackle short- and long-term planning, operational and management challenges while maintaining the highest level of service for our customers.”

The Innovyze geospatial water software family delivers network and asset performance modeling technology that addresses every facet of utility infrastructure management, operation, and protection — delivering the highest rate of return in the industry. The software makes it easy for engineers and GIS professionals to analyze and simulate various conditions; accurately assess multi-source, multi-quality systems; pinpoint system deficiencies; and determine the most cost-effective physical and operational improvements for achieving optimum performance and regulatory compliance while enhancing community relations.
