Certiport Announces Availability of Autodesk Revit Architecture Certification Exam
Certiport announced the availability of the Autodesk® Revit® Architecture Certified User exam as part of the Autodesk Certified User (ACU) certification program. Autodesk Revit Architecture software is specifically built for Building Information Modeling (BIM), helping building professionals design, build, and maintain high quality, more energy-efficient buildings.
“Since the launch of the ACU program nearly two years ago, we have seen it fulfill academic and industry requirements as secondary schools prepare students for design careers,” said Craig Bushman, Vice President of Marketing, Certiport. “We are adding the Autodesk Revit Architecture exam to give design and engineering students another building block on their resumes to prove they have what it takes to perform on the job.”
The Autodesk Revit Architecture exams combine multiple-choice and performance-based questions to ensure students understand and can effectively use Autodesk Revit Architecture software.
“As career and technical education programs embrace the Autodesk Certified User certification and now the new Revit certification, they can bring hands on learning and skill validation together in the classroom,” said Don Carlson, Director for Post-Secondary and Training & Certification, Autodesk. “Certification validates that students have these in-demand design skills – it proves to employers they can perform the tasks efficiently. We want to offer students the opportunity to certify on as many of our products as possible, which makes the launch of the Revit exams a great opportunity for schools to expand their Autodesk certification offerings.”
The Autodesk Education Community offers students and educators free software, learning materials and classroom support, giving them experience with the same design software that professionals use every day. Institutions already offering ACU exams can easily add the Autodesk Revit Architecture exams to their offerings.
Schools can become Certiport Authorized Testing Centers to provide Autodesk certification exams in their classrooms and certify student design software skills with recognized, industry certifications. Classroom and Campus License options allow schools to conduct unlimited online testing for an affordable annual fee that simplifies budgeting by eliminating per-test costs.
